Title: My Local Record Store Is Queer!
Post by: Slumber on Jun 18, 2025, 08:03 PM
It's owned by two lesbians, pride flags everywhere, they had a paper bag stamped with "Make LaPlata Weird" which is the area I live. I told the store owner I loved it and she let me take it home!! :O

On the wall it goes! Hawk put it there for me while I was out of the room. :3IMG_1124.jpeg

i have noticed a few places here in the states use that sort of slogan. i know Austin, TX has a "Keep Austin Weird" slogan. Although, i'm not sure if it started in Portland and then spread or if Portland just got the most famous for it. Either way, i am super happy with our new local haunt. They are also an all-woman tattoo shop, so i know where i'll be going for my next piece of ink.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that "all woman" part! The whole tattoo and record store is women run. It's awesome.
