Title: Painting Exercises
Post by: Slumber on Jun 17, 2025, 12:09 AM
Feel free to use this thread to put sketches or exercises you do!

I did this digital painting exercise for helping me to understand value. A lifelong learning process lol.IMG_0243.png

My brain is broken and immediately sees a Harvey Danger album cover (it is not the same)
(I saw the same album cover walking to work every day from December to March, despite the house at the end of the block being deconstructed also looking nothing like this. Like I said, Brain Broken)

I appreciate that you can very clearly tell what it is with minimal detail.

Wow, I love this aesthetic, though!! It's like a later afternoon sort of lighting, but super intense. Makes me want to paint it, too. :3 I feel good it made you think of it, though! Must mean all the work I put into the roof was worth it.

Learning a new painting program while also trying to copy another artist, Teddi Parker, for the first time. I'm like almost halfway done with it.

It does look like it'd kind of be a refreshing glass, though! That's true! x3
